The Chantry Classic features 2 small butchers' steels - the same hardness, temper and cut as a professional steel.

The steels are preset at the optimal edge angle and are spring loaded so as not to damage the knife.

The Chantry will sharpen any reasonable quality knife including those with scalloped edges.

Originally developed for, and still used in, the food processing industry.

Knife sharpeners - not knife grinders - so will not damage the knife. There are 3 models of the Chantry to choose from.

The Chantry Modern (winner of a 2005 Design Plus award), the Chantry Classic (on permanent display in New York Museum of Modern Art - 1970s design) and the Chantry Retro (original 1940s design).

The Chantry is suitable for both plain and scalloped edges, carbon or stainless steel blades.

To sharpen your knife simply run the blade between the steels four or five times as if slicing bread.
